Arrangements for Mass attendance from 18th to 26th July 2020

(Issued: 16th July 2020)

Dear Parishioner,

We have had a successful return to the celebration of Mass in our church. People coming to Mass are becoming familiar with the routine:

 (a) put on your face mask if you have not already done so (face masks can be purchased in the church if you forget yours);
 (b) hand in your slip of paper with your name and phone number at the table outside the door;
 (c) for weekend Masses there will be just one collection payable on the way in or way out;
 (d) sanitise your hands on the way in;
 (e) follow the advice of the guides to go to a seat allocated to you as we fill the church row by row starting at the front;
 (f) go up to receive Holy Communion by the side aisles and come down the centre;
 (g) sanitise your hands before receiving Holy Communion and place the Communion Host in your mouth while you are still at the altar;
 (h) leave the church row by row, starting at the back following the advice of the guides.

Many people, however, are forgetting to bring their name and phone number on a piece of paper and then must do it when they arrive slowing up their own entry and the entry of others.

We ask you to leave the church promptly as the seats have to be sanitised before the next Mass. If some people wish to pray for a while longer, they may move to the Oratory and pray there.

The numbers attending Mass will be limited for the foreseeable future, but we are allowed up to approximately 100 and will be expanding the areas for each weekend Mass. To give everyone a chance to attend Mass and to avoid long queues we have divided the parish into 5 areas and allocated a specific Mass to each area.

Thank you for your consideration to date.
